Sweet tooth out of control? Do you often HAVE to have something sweet? You may have the sugar blues. Come learn about the physiological effects of sugar on your body, mind and moods. Sugar addiction is a very real thing, so we'll discuss practical ways to handle binges and cravings without going crazy; it can be as easy as changing your breakfast. You'll also learn about natural sweeteners, and how to incorporate healthy sweetness into your life.

Eating the right kinds of food (and avoiding the wrong ones) has a profound effect on the health of your heart. You'll learn how the right mix of fats, vitamins and minerals can help manage current heart-related conditions and protect against new ones. Also on the agenda: compelling research about the benefits of cholesterol and saturated fats and why you shouldn't try to live without them. This class debunks old notions and arms you with important guidelines for heart health.

The effects of prolonged stress on our bodies aren't immediately apparent, but stress hormones can cause premature aging and suppress our immune systems, leaving us vulnerable to illness. The right foods can be the first line of defense. This class will reveal which nutrients are needed to handle stress, identify healing foods, and suggest ways to incorporate healthy eating even when we're super busy. Learn to avoid certain foods that contain added stressors. Stressful times call for a simple but effective antidote: powerful foods.
